Description:
Sorry for the long wait. After last entry I decided to change the themeing slightly to make it more enjoyable to play. Let's see how it reads, shall we?

Text has been edited and names have been changed to protect the guillible.

Matt says:
LOAD GAME
Skillasaur says:
You are standing at the end of a long passageway. It is a dark. There is a luminescient form of moss covering the stone walls, there is a cavity in the side of the wall, there is an indent at shoulder height.
Matt says:
check inventory
Skillasaur says:
You are currently carrying: A knife, A key, Hintbook.
Matt says:
Pull on bricks around indent
Skillasaur says:
You pull on the stone bricks surrounding the indent but none of them budge. You do notice that there is something slightly strange about their shape.
Matt says:
examine strange shaped bricks
Skillasaur says:
The indent in the wall is only a few cm inwards from the surrounding stones, but each one has a shape carved a couple of centimeters deep in them. One is a triangle, one is a circle and one is a square.
Matt says:
return to the tv room
Skillasaur says:
You return back down the passageway and ascend the staircase. Upon reaching the top you find the passage that was previously open has now closed, preventing you from reaching the tv room.
Matt says:
Kick the wall and swear
Skillasaur says:
You kick the wall. Your foot hurts.
Matt says:
check surroundings
Skillasaur says:
You're currently standing on the top stair of a spiral staircase. There is a closed wall in front of you that leads towards the tv room. There is lumenscient moss on the walls.
Matt says:
Go down the spiral staircase
Skillasaur says:
You return down the spiral staircase.
Matt says:
Examine surroundings.
Skillasaur says:
You're at the beginning of a long passageway, the same moss is on the walls here. There is nothing else of interest.
Matt says:
Return to the indented wall.
Skillasaur says:
You return to the indented wall.
Matt says:
Examine surroundings
Skillasaur says:
There is an indent at shoulder height. There is a cavity in the wall. There is the same moss here.
Matt says:
Check cavity
Skillasaur says:
You examine the cavity. The cavity is a large, black slab-like hole in the stone wall about knee height. It's too dark to see to the end but you judge it to be at least a meter deep. The stones surrounding the cavity seem to be loosely fitted compared to the other stones.
Matt says:
Pull on those stones!
Skillasaur says:
You pull on the stones but they refuse to budge. Perhaps you need more leverage.
Matt says:
Put the knife in the hole
Skillasaur says:
You place the knife in the cavity.
Matt says:
Pry out the stones
Skillasaur says:
Pry stones out using knife? Y/N?
Matt says:
Err... Y
Skillasaur says:
You wedge the knife between the stones joins and with a small tug the first stone comes free. You attempt the same for all stones until three of them are free. The last remaining one is slightly more resistant, do you wish to pry out the last stone? Y/N?
Matt says:
N
Skillasaur says:
You add three small stones to inventory.
Matt says:
Check new hole
Skillasaur says:
You check the area which the stones covered. Though you have made a clear dent in the cavity and widened it considerably you have revealed nothing but damp earth.
Matt says:
Check shape of stones in inventory
Skillasaur says:
You examine the stones in your inventory. If you squint a little each stone seems slightly differently shaped. One is roughly triangle shaped, one square and one circle.
Matt says:
Try to put them in corresponding shapes in the indent
Skillasaur says:
You try to fit each stone into the indent, but none of the stones fit their respective holes. Each is slightly too big to fit.
Matt says:
Carve them down carefully with the knife
Skillasaur says:
You use the knife to wear down the stones to the extent you can fit them in the indents. After about half-an-hour you feel you have created the desired forms.
Matt says:
Put hands on waist in content
Skillasaur says:
You smile to yourself smugly.
Matt says:
Place the carved stones in the indents
Skillasaur says:
You place the stones in the indent. As you finish placeing the last one the indent withdraws further into the wall and you hear a rumbling. Instinctively you pull your hand back as the stones around the indent reform before your eyes. There is now a large shaped X in the space the indent used to be.
Matt says:
Examine the X
Skillasaur says:
The X appears much like the indents were before you placed shapes in them. It seems you must also place an X shaped object, but larger than ther others.
Matt says:
check the other hole
Skillasaur says:
You check the cavity. There are the remains of your toils here, and one last stone block.
Matt says:
Pry out the last stone block
Skillasaur says:
Use knife? Y/N?
Matt says:
Errr, try without it first.
Skillasaur says:
You tug and heave at the block but it won't budge.
Matt says:
Try with the knife.
Skillasaur says:
You try to remove the block with the knife. After a few stabs at an awkward angle you find an angle with which you can get leverage. Smaller tugs do little so you decide to give a mighty heave. As you do so the knife shatters but the block comes away from the wall.
Skillasaur says:
You obtain: Broken knife, metal shards, strange block.
Skillasaur says:
You lost item: knife.
Matt says:
Swear and kick yourself as you knew it would break
Skillasaur says:
You kick yourself, but feel you had little other option.
Matt says:
Check the strange block
Skillasaur says:
The strange block you pryed out from the wall looks exactly the same as the other blocks but is substantially lighter and seems to be almost perfectly spherical.
Matt says:
carve an x out of it
Skillasaur says:
You try to carve an X out of it, but with your knife in the state it is you cannot even make a dent.
Matt says:
Push it in the X slot
Skillasaur says:
You try to push the spherical stone into the X slot, but it does not fit.
Matt says:
throw the sphere downwards
Skillasaur says:
You throw the sphere downwards. It cracks on the hard stone floor.
Matt says:
Check remains
Skillasaur says:
The sphere is largely intact but has a large crack in it's underside and there are fragments on littering the floor.
Matt says:
Pull it apart!
Skillasaur says:
You pull the sphere apart. It comes apart easily in your hands. Inside you find a tiny black X with a red button on the front.
Matt says:
Put the X in the hole
Skillasaur says:
You place the X in the hole.
Matt says:
Press the button
Skillasaur says:
You press the button. The X suddenly expands to fill the area of the indent. Nothing happens for a moment, then suddenly you notice the X is still expanding. The walls start shaking as the X literally wedges the stones apart.
Skillasaur says:
After a few moments the wall collapses entirely, leaveing a large X filling the wall, surrounded by debris.
Matt says:
Press the button again
Skillasaur says:
You press the button again. The X immediately shrinks to it's original size, leaveing a hidden passage behind it.
Matt says:
Put the X in pocket and check the new passage
Skillasaur says:
You obtain: Incredible shrinking X!
Skillasaur says:
You examine the new passage. The damage done by the X is quite severe, but the passage ahead seems relatively stable. There is no source of light ahead, as it seems even the moss didn't grow that far.
Matt says:
Take some moss and go inside D:
Skillasaur says:
You take some moss to guide you and enter the passage. Continue Y/N?
Matt says:
Y
Skillasaur says:
You contine down the passageway. After a time the stone walls which surrounded you turn to wooden frames, holding the earth above and to the sides. In the distance you can hear water. The moss in your hands only lights a few feet in front of you. continue, Y/N?
Matt says:
Y
Skillasaur says:
You continue down the tunnel. you travel for what feels like hours and notice the moss you picked up seems to be slowly dieing as it's giving less light...
Skillasaur says:
The sound of water is stronger now.
Skillasaur says:
Continue, Y/N?
Matt says:
No turning back D: Y
Skillasaur says:
You continue.
Skillasaur says:
Congratulations! you have completed level 1!
Skillasaur says:
Score 11/10
Skillasaur says:
Generating...
Skillasaur says:
Level 2... start.
Skillasaur says:
You continue walking down the passageway half-feeling your way as the moss grows darker. Just as the moss is giving out it's final light you feel something snap below you. Suddenly you're falling in the air. You feel the warm, stagnant air flowing past you before, a few seconds later, you impact on a hard surface below.
Matt says:
Check for damages
Skillasaur says:
You check yourself for injury, but aside from a splitting headache and a few bruises you seem fine.
Matt says:
Get up and examine surroundings
Skillasaur says:
You get up. You seem to be in a large cave of sorts. The cave is lit by a bluey white light which seems to emenate from a large pool of water just a few inches from where you landed. There are several passageways out of the cave, one of which is underwater. There are strange creatures eyeing you cautiously from behind staligmites, or are they stalagmites? You're not certain.
Matt says:
Check the pool of water
Skillasaur says:
The pool of water is intensely clear, you can see right to the bottom of the pool, despite it being over several meters deep. There seem to be strange limpet-like creatures attached to the bottom of the pool which emit the light you see.
Matt says:
check one of the passageways out
Skillasaur says:
You pick a passageway at random and take a few steps through to see where it leads. The eastern passageway leads to a wide open room, lit only from the small hole in the ceiling, at least fifty feet above. There is a waterwheel rotating slowly feeding a waterfall on the side of the room. The pool is supplied by a steady trickle of water from a hole in the wall.
Matt says:
Stop the waterwheel from turning temporarily
Skillasaur says:
You examine the waterwheel but see no way to stop it's mechanism. Whatever is driving it is hidden from your view.
Matt says:
Exit back to the 'main room' and take another passageway
Skillasaur says:
You take the western passageway. After a few steps it becomes clear that you will not be able to progress further without a source of light. The only things visible in the gloom are the strange eyes of the creatures you saw before, reflecting the light from the main room behind you.
Matt says:
Take another passage?
Skillasaur says:
The only remaining passage lies under water.
Matt says:
Attempt to take light emitting limpets
Skillasaur says:
Dive into pool Y/N?
Matt says (01:05):
Can I reach from the ledge?
Skillasaur says:
Yes.
Matt says:
Then no
Skillasaur says:
You reach down into the water from the edge. A few of the limpets are within reach and you gather some.
Items obtained: Light Emmitting Limpets.
Matt says:
Hold them out and head westward
Skillasaur says:
You hold the limpets out in front of you and head westward. The limpets only provide a few feet of light but it is sufficient to guide your way through the passage.
Skillasaur says:
Eventually you come to a crossroads.
Skillasaur says:
N/S/E/W?
Matt says:
N
Skillasaur says:
You head north. After a few twists and turns you come to a dead end. There seems to have been a rockslide here.
Matt says:
S then S
Skillasaur says:
You return to the crossroads. You head south. You are standing on a high ledge which encircles the room where far below there is deep water. In the center of the room is a pillar with a box on.
Matt says:
Is the box reachable from the surface of the water
Skillasaur says:
The top of the pillar is roughly the same height as the ledge you are standing upon, whilst the water is at least sixty feet below you.
Matt says:
Head N then W
Skillasaur says:
You return to the crossroads. You head west. You exit the passageway to find yourself in a dark room. From the air you judge it to be larger than the other rooms, but it is not lit by anything at all.
Matt says:
Head E then E
Skillasaur says:
You return to the main room
Matt says:
Dive in and attemp to swim through the underwater passage
Skillasaur says:
You dive into the water. Being only a few meters deep you almost bludgeon yourself on the rock floor, but carry on regardless.
Skillasaur says:
You travel as far into the tunnel as you dare, but seeing no clear sign of air or ending you decide to turn back
Matt says:
Climb out and approach the monster things with limpets held out ahead
Skillasaur says:
The creatures duck and weave to avoid you as you approach the collection of staligmites. They seem to be small rat-like critters with large front teeth and large bug-like eyes. Each one also has a small pair of miniature wings on the back which resemble bat wings.
Matt says:
Speak to them
Skillasaur says:
What do you want to say?
Matt says:
"I am your god, do what I say!"
Skillasaur says:
One speaks in alarm. "Gnaaar! It speaks Gonmish!" then disappears behind a rock.
Matt says:
Go wide eyed in shock that it spoke
Skillasaur says:
You go wide-eyed, however after a few moments it becomes clear that going wide-eyed will not help your situation.
Matt says:
Ask why it hides
Skillasaur says:
You ask why it hides. "You are big-man! Big meany man! Please do not hurt us... we are trapped here!"
Matt says:
Ask why they are trapped
Skillasaur says:
"Please! Do not hurt us! We were seperated from our tribe and fell down here!"
Matt says:
Reassure I won't hurt them
Skillasaur says:
"Y-you... you won't? Thank you kind one." The creature appears cautiously from behind the rock. It's friends soon follow suit and you see a group of the creatures around you. On closer inspection each of them is covered in a thin brown fur coat and they flutter their wings almost constantly, despite being small fat and round.
Matt says:
Ask if they know how to get out of here
Skillasaur says:
"W-we? Don't you know? This is your home, is it not?"
Matt says (01:28):
"Nope, I fell from a tunnel connected to a room I've never seen before. I woke up there... I don't remember anything before that"
Skillasaur says:
"I see," says the lead one. "Then perhaps introductions are in order."
Skillasaur says:
"I am Gonmix, of the Gonmice. We speak, as do you, the ancient tongue of Gonmish. We are a subterranean people who have mapped the ancient halls of Grinishka and Terroka, who are you?"
Matt says:
"I don't know my name... I'm human, at least I think, and I speak what I thought was English."
Skillasaur says:
"English? That is a funny name for Gonmish. I shall call you Englix of the English, for that is the way of things. We have searched these caverns but have found no way to escape, can you help us?"
Matt says:
"I guess, I've looked around and have become stuck myself"
Skillasaur says:
"Hmmm... perhaps we have skills which can be useful for each other? I note you have no wings, with which to glide, whilst we lack the gills to breath so long underwater."
Matt says:
"I hate to break it too you but I don't have gills"
Skillasaur says:
"You do not? Then how did you stay so long beneath the cursed water! My kind have been known to perish after mere seconds! We avoid the water like the plague."
Matt says:
"I myself will 'perish' if I stay under too long, my lung capacity must be greater... Anyway, have you any idea where to go and why were you watching me?"
Skillasaur says:
"Forgive us, we were simply afriad of tresspass. We tried to escape over by the large machine to the east, but our wings are insufficent to give us flight, we can only glide. One of us glided down the deep room, but perished sadly in the water below...
Matt says:
Save game
Skillasaur says:
Saved.
Matt says:
Exit
Skillasaur says:
Exited.
