Funny how the tax office seems so screwed up...
last year it took many months for them to finally tell me they couldn't deal with my tax stuff (they owed me £425) because my P60 lacked my address for some reason. In the end I had to yell at them about the fact that I desperately needed the money because I was moving out, and they did it as an emergency priority.
Today I try to apply for a vacancy they advertised with New Deal...
phone: "Sorry, this is not the number you are supposed to call for this."
"Sorry, we don't know the number you are supposed to call."
"The vacancy is on our website, you can find the information on there."
Website: Vacancies in Glasgow... London... Livingstone... none in Cardiff.
We gave up.
I have four jobs to apply for now.
One is with the University of Glamorgan
One I have to wait for the application form
Two I have to send CVs to.
I have two others I have applied for already.
and from previous experience I would estimate that none will contact me to tell me I havn't got the job.
grrrr...
