Description:
Four - The Chase

Dialogue. It seemed as if aeons were between every sentence.

"So..."
"So."
"That's an interesting path that has brought you here."
"Sure is."
"Towards the Cold?"
"Yeah."
"But what is the reason for a journey of this kind?"
- I told him.
"You're doomed."
"You're damaged."
- He laughed.
"Damaged? Me?"
"Stagnation is the end of freedom."
"So you're the free one? Moving forward and forward? That's stupid"
"At least I'm not... here. For ever."
"Huh. It's nice here."
"Is that a phrase or do you really mean it? Do you know that, in every neuron of your brain, you want to stay? Stay here forever?"
"...yes."
"Forever?"
"Yes."
"Until you part from life?"
"YES."
"I'm not believing you."

Silence.

"When do you want to move on?"
"As soon as possible."
"It was nice to see you again. Even if it's for the last time."
"You just can't think of me getting through the Cold."
"It's not the Cold. It's what lies beyond."

End of dialogue.

I stepped outside. I looked into the sun. It didn't hurt my eyes.
