My old friends will never abandon their rudimentary creation. It plays in the dirt, and makes funny collections of dust, and gives them names like hill and home and mona lisa.
One such made ants fight, then made ants make peace and rebuild and engendered peace among the black ants in the red ants land, overcome by the tyrrany of the army ant.
One such ant harvested aphids and kept them as cattle, and pasteurized the product for his morning porrisdge.
Then we return to the ant god, as he sits under a statue of his own glory, the hyperman, the tower of glass and science, to mock Babel in all the modern cities who no longer reach up to approach God, but down from his fallen majesty towards the godrace that wrought them. He walks with another god to the forum and revels with the pundits there about the rule of President God over their nation. He looks up, at the statue of Venus and Mars in noble marble, and laughs that they are not as complex as He is. He looks up at them, and he likes the fact that they can do nothing to stop him.
