Hope spills out, and the messy cloud of insight and foresight paints a belated halo around the man. He saw less significance in all what he saw in the world, but he saw so much more than you or I. He gasped as he fell, to see all the world finally, and to love the woman with a steel lump in her hand, turning into a melange of unrelated shapes and hues. The scope is so beautiful, he puts his hand up before his face to alter the abstract stained glass window, to participate wonderfully in events beyond his reconing. The lights mix in, as his ears report a wholly new din, and everything shades more and more with the color he dimly recalls was ruinously besmirched by the mundane name black.
Shudder, you, to think of what secret confides and revelations are staining the wall. LOOK AT THE PAPER BY HIS DESK. If you stare at it at the right time, you can see what he would have written. All his tools pale, their purpose ruined. Throw it all away. It means nothing now. Bury it, his wooden puppet, in a box by a stone. Death is the most unnatural warping never intended for the human psyche. To cope is to cut something out of you, and leave it dripping on the casket.
