Ed's (the character, not author) debut series.

Ed loaded the clip into his LR-SA Sniper Rifle. "10 rounds of pure 10x10.256mm firepower." he thought. "That used to be a ton, but not anymore. Heavitanium sure changed everything." The landing shuttle was closing in on the landing zone, the enemy's beach. "Attention all infantry units! Attention all infantry units!" the radio blared out. "The landing will commence in 10 seconds! Prepare yourselves!" Ed knew about how hard it was in wars. He had been in another one. The one where the sadists fought the "New Government Group" in a long and deadly war. The sadists finally won it after using a captured prototype weapon. The beach got closer and closer. The machine-gun fire got heavier and heavier. Mortars practically rained from the heavens. The war had begun. Ed took cover behind a beach obstacle. He carefully poked his gun over his cover and looked through the scope. His crosshairs set on a machine-gunner's head. Ed pulled the trigger. There was a small, supressed muzzle flash. The machine-gunner's headless body flopped onto the machine-gun he used to operate. Ed aimed again at an enemy infantry soldier rushing down the beach at him. The trigger was pulled and another headless body fell. Ed went up the beach quickly as he could, occasionally stopping behind an obstacle to take aim at a sniper. Then the enemy bombers came into the scene....
