Here I am, wishing for the end of the world.
Living on this vast blade of farmland where I will be born, and died,

everyday the twilight is the first gleaming off the helmet of the galactic warrior holding the sword,
swung past the galaxy shield of the Opponent some dozens of Mega-annums ago. It travels at a speed that will impale and kill him, the Opponent, in what I remember was about three Giga-annums.

The constant power and slag my nano refineries harvest made me a valued member of the community. I throw ruined buildings onto their carpet and they restore substance to the parts of the ground with too much character, smoothing and sharpening the fighting edge. The town gets smaller, the fields longer.

There is still so much hope for this world, for society and for history. Keeping together, we will continue the race for the technology. When our world, the sword, is close enough to the Opponent, when our planet, like an airplane, has traveled the distance it will pierce his heart. We will by then have the means to communicate through his blood, to subsume our collective physical material and create a consciousness of us all that will expand to fulfill his giant frame. Escape. All the pain and death will be a thing of the world that we abandon, leaving both behind.

I cannot do that alone. I will make the sword we used sharp again, uniform, so that a notch does not catch on a rib, and the Opponent does die, and the soldier's life is not threatened by our leechful lives. I am inventing a time machine, called the end of the world. After many days measured in notches, when the day is measured in notch, I will throw myself in.

I don't get a single word ... maybe its just a bit to early, or late depending if you already slept ;) but I think it's a nice text anyway and maybe I understand it just a little bit but anyway it seems somewhat important and meaningful o_o

It meant something too me , you know all you are is a cog in the machine , why whould or should you care about its fate?
Even if said fate is directly linked to your own you shoundt worry about it , since its not just gonna take you out with it , but everyone...
