Description:
My first attempt of a short story after several months. I was heavily intoxicated by lemon ice tea and mentally disturbed by Nurse With Wound music. The rather confusing and alternative attempts of Steve doing music, heavily influenced this piece of work. As always, it comes without warranty, and any error -- either gramatically or logically -- may be transfered into the possession of the finder.

What is it?

^^ ... Oh. That was the idea: To leave the rest to the reader. Though it is a bit tricky to figure out. I know, I know... my friends did not get it either in the first place.

I like it, it wouldn't be the first time someone died because of (this time electronic) burocracy. I don't understand where Innsmouth fits in though. Perhaps it is an indicator of the kind of damage the caller has felt? Like, the fishy kind? :p
Still, I find such formal record uncompatible with the Innsmouth I know.

My theory is that the caller comitted some crime, probably murder, because of the deep disturbance the environment caused on him/her. And before having to face another unspeakable horror he/she tried surrendering to the police. My bet is that one of those horrors showed up before he/she could contact a human voice.

Actually I wanted the city to have a name several people will associate "horror" with. Copying or cribbing Lovecraft -- I could just have put some town in Maine, the city were most of King's actions take place -- and was not my intent, though it helps to make the atmosphere a little bit darker.

And as always: The rest is up to reader :P
